The Urban Park, located in the Librino neighborhood, was aimed at the enhancement of public space and the development of new ?social energies? through the promotion of participatory socio-cultural activities, capable of generating a different vision of space and new forms of re-appropriation.
The intervention included the redevelopment of the 5-a-side soccer field, the No. 3 pre-existing playground, through the insertion of a new fitness area and the replacement of all street furniture, allowing it to host different kinds of activities (rest, relaxation, informal meeting, play, etc.), making it a multifunctional space capable of accommodating a mix of frequenters that make it vital at all times of the day and year. The space is equipped with hybrid-type smart benches and tables with built-in transformer for AC charging, and power outlet for charging electronic devices, from smartphones to tablets, via USB and Wireless port, as well as internet technology for connection and a personalized homepage
