Vulcania Park represents an important green lung in the City, much appreciated by the Catanese and in particular by residents in the surrounding areas, as a place of aggregation where they can spend their free time, for sports activities and for children and young people to play.
In 2023, thanks to funds made available by the PON Metro 2014-2020, it was possible to regenerate the existing playground area, through the installation of new games and a new state-of-the-art anti-trauma flooring, effectively making it an inclusive playground that offers the possibility for every family to be able to spend moments of leisure with their children in the open air. In addition, thanks to the installation of special games, the playground area is also functional in offering opportunities for inclusion, recreation and fun for people with disabilities, in the sign of an idea of community and sharing that precisely in the game has one of its most beautiful opportunities for sociability and union.
