With an even wider target audience, the Catania Tu Go initiative will also be valid throughout 2023 and until May 2024, namely the integrated bus and Metro season ticket at the subsidized cost of just 20 euros per year, compared to a commercial value of 520 euros.
This was established by a resolution of the Extraordinary Commissioner of the Municipality of Catania, resuming the initiative successfully launched last year by the Municipal Administration, based on the use of community funds from the Pon Metro, suitably remodeled in order to incentivize citizens to use public transport instead of private vehicles and contribute to reducing Co2 emissions in the air, as well as achieving substantial savings on fuel expenses.
The program launched by the Directorate of Community Policies and the holder of the Green Transition Service, in collaboration with Amts and Fce, provides for an unchanged cost for citizens with tickets valid for thirteen months, starting May 1 and ending May 31, 2024, at the almost symbolic cost of 1.53 euros per month. A total number of 7,540 integrated annual passes will be guaranteed for the year 2023, 1,740 more than those planned for 2022 (5,800). In addition, should the number of subscriptions be exhausted, AMTS and FCE have agreed to issue an additional 2,500, for a total of 10,040 subscriptions for 2023, including disabled people traveling free of charge, as opposed to the 8,000 planned for 2022. The season ticket is valid for all metro and bus rides (Alibus and line 524S excluded) and Nesima and Due Obelischi parking. The City's total investment to cut the cost of integrated Metro-Fce subscriptions by more than 95 percent is 7.5 million euros.

To obtain the subscription, it is necessary to make a Voucher request, starting at 10.00 a.m. on March 31, 2023, through the Catania Semplice platform(https://www.comune.catania.it/citta-semplice/#/servizi/traspvia/TUGo) in the website of the City of Catania, accessing through SPID or CIE, and then acquire the digital subscription upon payment of 20.00 euros by means of the FCE App, which can be downloaded for free from IOS devices (IOS version 10 and above from IPhone 7) and Android devices (Android version 8 and above on the most popular smartphone models) in the respective stores. To complete the procedure, 48 hours after making the request through the Catania Semplice platform, it will be possible to digitally acquire the subscription upon payment of ?20.00 through the free FCE Catania App. After installing the FCE Catania application on the mobile device, it will be necessary to ? register to create your account by filling in all the mandatory fields marked with the symbol (*); confirm the account at the e-mail address indicated during registration. The travel ticket will be available in the Buy section. For the use of AMTS parking spaces (Due Obelischi, Nesima), on the other hand, the user will have to make an explicit request when submitting the application on the Catania Semplice platform by inserting a check mark under the item Withdrawal of the interchange parking cards when filling in the application data. After acquiring through the FCE App the digital subscription, it will be possible to pick up the parking smart card in the AMTS ticket office at 747 Plebiscito Street during the days when the counter is open to the public (Tuesday morning, Thursday morning and afternoon).
