It is the Palazzo della Cultura that will host from June 9 (opening at 6:30 p.m.) to Aug. 10 the art and emotions of Sicilian visual artist Fabio Modica, with the exhibition ?????.
The exhibition, co-organized with the City of Catania, is curated by Giuseppe Stagnitta and produced by Daniela Arionte's Behind the Scenes Gallery.
It will be open to the public with free admission Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

?????, a Greek word meaning "near" and "to draw near," embodies the poetics that permeates the entire exhibition, "Let us rediscover contact, the union between fragments" , enveloping as a large body that unites the diverse and imposing canvases on offer.

The versatile and prolific artist from Catania, born in 1978, presents with his works segments of human physiognomies trapped within the boundaries of the paintings and projected toward a contact to recompose a single silhouette. And to overcome also, symbolically, the closures and limits imposed on human relationships by the pandemic period and the consequent excessive use of digital.

The exhibition includes the two sketches and documentary videos of the mural works created by the artist for the Emergence Festival, dedicated to Peppino Impastato in the Municipality of Oliveri and to the Brancati Prize in Zafferana Etnea.

Fabio Modica is featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad including Shanghai, Taipei, Atlanta, Chicago, Hong Kong, Nice, Barcelona, London.
